First off, no matter what method you never squeeze your blackheads, because they leave potheads (scars) in other words your scaring your pores. Believe me I have them on my nose because I would just squeeze them.
Here is the easiest method of all (salt water solution). Before bed just get a hot glass of water and pour salt in, boil the water if you can, and shake the glass to mix any salt resdue left at the bottom of the glass. Then take a paper towel, fold it, and pour the salt water solution on it, then rub on the areas where you have blackheads, they will be dryed up by morning.
well some people say that scrub your face everyday but that just damages precious facial oils. i would recommend you wash your face with soap first with warm water and then use tea tree oil facial wash which is a natural and very effective way to exfoliate and cleanse your face. if you do this reguarly then the excess oil and black heads will gradually go. also make sure you change your face towel when it begins to get wet because there is oil and germs from your face that rubs back on to your face when you dry your face

I'm all blackheads. Twice a year I spring for a dermatologist spa treatment, and they use tools and scrubs to really clean out my face. My skin looks amazing for a few weeks, and then I keep up regularly with skin scrubs and a good exfoilator (sp?). Once my pores start getting bad again, I go back!

acne treatment - salicylic acid can work
too but i prefer the benzoyl peroxide.
BP: clean %26amp; clear persa-gel
SA: clean %26amp; clear invisible
afterwards use a moisturizer. a good one
to try would be phisoderm skin clearing gel
moisturizer or olay total effects, look for the
one with acne treatment.
once a week use a mask or scrub, most
girls like st. ives apricot scrub.
do this every day and scrub twice a week!

BTW it seems like you are getting it around your hairline. Make sure to get all of the shampoo washed off and no soaps left on accident when washing. That can irritate the skin.
I would definitely suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the maks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days! a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

You cant suddenly make them dissappear but heres away to get rid of a few, as not all are ready to come out:
*First cleanse your face until its squeaky clean
*Then tie your hair back so its off your face
*Get a basin of boiling hot water, and tilt your head over the basin and hold it there for as long as you feel is comfortable. The steam will open up your pores.
*Then just after (make sure your hands are really clean btw) get 2 cotton pad/tissue and gently but firmly press on the skin either side of the black head and ease it out. You must not push so hard that your damaging your skin, as this could lead to scaring if you repeatedly do it.
*Once you are done flash cold water on your face a few times to close up your pores, dont skip this step as its very important.
But blackheads show that dirt has gotten into your pores. And you can only get rid of them manually and so you must keep up a skin care routine to effectively keep them at bay and also clear up any spots. Heres what you should be doing:
*Cleanse and Tone morning and night
*use an Exfoliater at least once a week
*also drink about 8 glasses of water a day
I would advise against using 'Clean %26amp; Clear' as those products can be very harsh on your skin. If the product your using stings it means your sensitive to it so stop as it is doing you damage. Also dont use soap on your skin as this can make it go dry and flakey.
I like 'Simple' or 'Vichy' products as these dont contain any:
-Alcohol (which dries out the skin)
-Parfum (which is just unnecessary)
-Oils (which clogs up pores)
Always check on the back of products to see what they contain as many can be doing more harm than good!

Go to Walmart (they have it at TJ max also) and buy a jar of Dead Sea Salt.... This is the only thing that has ever worked for my acne. I had severe acne for 7 years and went to the doctors 10+ times. No prescriptions worked, no over the counter medications worked. NOTHING worked... until i made a trip to the ocean one time, and it all cleared up from the salt water. So go to the store, buy some dead sea salt, and use it when you wash your face everyday, it exfoliates and cleans... The first couple times you use it, it WILL burn.. but just stick it out, the burn will go away and your skin will be super clean and clear. good luck!

This is good for Oily or Acne Prone skin. Take 1 medium size apple, grated fine, 5 tbs. honey. Mix the grated apple and honey well. Smooth over skin and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
Cool As A Cucumber Yogurt Facial (For Normal/Oily Skin)
1/2 cucumber
1 Tbsp plain yogurt
Puree cucumber in blender mix in yogurt, apply to face. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse well.
Honey Mask (For Oily %26amp; Blemished Skin)
Massage a small amount of slightly heated honey onto skin. Wheat germ may be added for its abrasive action, protein and nutrients.
Pineapple Olive Oil Mask
In a blender, combine 4 large pineapple chunks or 1/2 cup canned, drained pineapple and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Blend until almost smooth. Apply mixture to face with fingertips and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.
Tomato Blemish Remedy
1 tomato, ripe, chopped
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 T instant style oatmeal or old fashioned rolled oats
Blend all ingredients until just combined, in a paste. Apply to blemished skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay in place. Leave in place 10 minutes. Remove with damp washcloth.

I have a lot of little black heads on my nose and chin, what is the best way to get rid of them?
they are not really noticebale to anyone else but me. But if you look closely, there are hundreds, probably one for each pore on my nose and on my chin. First-what do you think is the best face wash for that ?(stuff you can buy like at walmart, target, etc.), second-what is the best professional wash or procedure to get rid of them? moisturizer or olay total effects, look for the

BTW it seems like you are getting it around your hairline. Make sure to get all of the shampoo washed off and no soaps left on accident when washing. That can irritate the skin.
I would definitely suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the maks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days! a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

It also has vitamin A in it! so it won't dry your skin out but will help with aging too
I got it prescribed by my doctor because I had heard it was good from different sources (magazines, internet, dr. will from big brother haha) I've only just started it so I can't say if it works for sure yet, but you should still go and ask your doctor about it, its not too expensive, about $20 and that was just with my regular provincial health care, so if you have health care through your work or something else, it will be even less!

Just simply massage it into your face and rinse off with cold water. Before doing any sort of scrub, steam your face over a bowl of hot water with a towl over your head. This will open up and soften your pores, allowing them to get cleaned. Washing your face with cold water after the scrub tightens the pores and makes them look smaller and less visible. Get a small towel.
soak it with very hot water.
turn the towel in order to remove the water and keep the towel hot.
put the towel on the area where u see black heads and keep it for a while like for a min or until u fell ur face is hot enough for ur pores to open.
Use a tissue paper or cotton to clean the blackheads.
Press really strong to clean.
when u r done
take the towel
soak it in cold water.
and apply the towel to the cleaned area to close the pores back.

they are not really noticebale to anyone else but me. But if you look closely, there are hundreds, probably one for each pore on my nose and on my chin. You might be washing your face too much. Just use one kind of face wash morning and night. I've always had a huge problem with blackheads, and I tried this the other night and it worked like a charm.
Once a week, boil a pot of water and put your face over it with a towel over your head to trap the steam in. The heat will open your pores. Set a timer for 2 minutes and after every 2 minutes wipe your face with a cotton ball to wipe off the toxins your skin is expelling. Do this for about 10 minutes (5 times).
After the fifth time, grab your face wash (I use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Foam Wash which is great for fighting acne) and wash for 30 seconds while your pores are still open. Rinse with warm, not hot water.
Then put your face with the towel back over the pot of water for abut 30 seconds. Pat your face dry after and then put on a face mask, like Queen Helene Mint Julep Face Mask, all over your face.
After 10 minutes, rinse the mask off with warm water and use your toner to close your pores. I'd suggest Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent.
Follow up with your moisturizer. Neutrogena makes a great one. It's called Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment. It's an acne medication, but it doesn't dry my skin out and it keeps it fresh.

I have skin like that also. Very prone to blackheads.
I steam my skin with boiling water and a handful of dried herbs like lavender, peppermint, or rosemary. I steam for like 10 minutes max, then I exfoliate with baking soda and rose water. The grains are really fine so they really make your skin smoother and clean out your pores making them appear smooth and closed.
After I exfoliate, I squeeze out any pimples or grime in my skin. Wash face off with cool water. Apply clay mask to draw out the rest of any impurities, wash face with cool water. Tone with peppermint water or astrigent then moisturize.
Your skin will be great after that. I do this weekly. Other than that I keep my skin moisturized and exfoliate every other day with sugar and honey or any smoother ingredient that won't scar up your delicate facial skin.

But before you start getting rid of them yourself, find out, is it a mild case of blackheads or is it rather severe? If its severe then you should go see a dermatologist.
Now if its just mild, instead of spending soooo much on beauty products, theres this 5 step routine I read about that you should do 2-3x a week.
1. Wash your face with a mild exfoliating agent. Use a LOW POTENCY benzoyl peroxide to break up the blackheads rooted in the skin. BUT DONT USE TOO MUCH of the product and DONT OVER SCRUB YOUR FACE.
2. Steam your face. You can put some hot water in a basin, put a few drops of tea trea oil as an antibacterial agent, then cover your head with a towel and allow the steam to open up your pores for about 5minutes.
3. Extract. You can use a STERILIZED/CLEAN extractor (ya know that small metal rod with a loop at the end?) or pore strips or a blackhead removing mask.
4. Rinse with luke warm water
5. PAT Dry
If you do this routine 2x a week you would probably see results by the third week.
But if you want more affordable remedies for blackheads that you can try at home, check out the site below.
BTW, make sure you do this routine at night when you wont go out of the house anymore because you shouldnt put anything on your face afterwards to avoid clogging/infecting any open pores.

There is no way to permanently make pores smaller, but there are things you can do to minimize their appearance, or close them temporarily. To rid your face of blackheads, you need to open the pores as much as possible first. Steam is the best thing for this, or put a warm washcloth on your face.
Once your pores are opened, use a mild abrasive to scrub out the ones that are near the surface. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub (the original one, not medicated, etc.). This might sting a little -- but it is only temporary.
A Biore strip will get out some of the smaller blackheads. I think they still make rectangular ones for your face, but if not, just spread out once made for the nose on the areas with blackheads.
I know I will get flack for this...but the really deep ones are best dealt with by squeezing. I know that sounds gross, but if you saw a professional that's basically what they would do with fancier equipment! Try to squeeze as much skin around the blackhead as possible, otherwise your fingers will slip and you will just make a mark on your skin.
Some people say this leaves scarring, but I will tell you I am 31 without a scar or mark and people compliment my skin all the time.
When you are done with this treatment, close your pore again with cold water and an astringent. No need to buy something expensive; Witch Hazel of Ten-0-Six (drugstores) will do just fine.
On a daily basis, I use plain old Noxema day and night. I leave it on my skin until I feel a little burn then rinse it off. I've used this since I was 12, and people always ask me what my secret is.
If this doesn't work, you can try an Alpha Hydroxy mask or lotion to ';burn'; the top layer of your skin, making the blackheads more vulnerable. Lastly, a good sunburn seems to clear up a lot of blackheads (be careful!)

This WORKS!!!
1. Clean Face with Hot Water. Scrub Face with plain soap and washcloth to remove dead skin cells which clog pores.
2.Use a sanitized butter knife dull edge to pressure out oil and existing balckheads out of pores by sliding edge with pressure against skin (this is how they basically do facials). Rinse face with plain soap and hot water again.
3. Use Rubbing alcohol on face afterwards, to disinfect and contract pores.
4. Use Coldest water preferably in shower for minute on face, this closes the pores and causes blood to go to face for healthy glow. Also, reduces inflammation on face which can cause acne.
5. After you get out of shower put an acidic cream on pore areas,
Bacteria can not grow in an acidic environment. Do not let near eyes or under eyelid as it will irritate. Use a low percentage salicylic rinse or cream. Also can use retin type acid cream which is more expensive.
6.Let dry. Put moisturizer on top of skin s it does not get too dry from acid. Best moisturizor is propyllene glycol , which believe it or not is found cheaply in unscented deordorant. Do not use vasoline or lanlolin,mineral oil or greasy moisturizers.
In about 3 weeks you will see remarkable difference in skin.
Also, take a multivitamin daily. make sure you are getting a minimum of 50mg of zinc daily as coffee destroys it . Lack of zinc can also cause hair loss and dermatitis.
Also note some self tanners and bronzers cause heavy poor clogging. There are a few advertised as such that don't.
The blackheads are most likely being caused because you have combination skin and you are not using a cleansing product suitable for your skin type so the oil keeps building up and just never has time to relieve your pores. Where-in-lies your second problem, your pores will only increase in size if you cannot allow them to breath. What i do is use a little hair clip.strange but true a. The small hair pins that are kinda open at one end. to pop them out.
Otherwise make sure you wash your face and dont use any face make up or lots of creams makes you oily. Then always make sure you have clean hands and do not touch you face.I find this helps Its a hard habbit to break

Since I started exfoiliating my skin 3x a week, my pores are smaller. I use Mary Kay's mircro dermabrasion, but St Ive's exfoliating scrub does the same thing! And it's quite cheaper. Buy it at walmart, use it 3x a week, and in a month or so, you should see a difference.
And the scrubbing will help work out the blackheads too, will make them easier to push out.

I used to have a huge acne problem until I visited my doctor too. He gave me a prescription for 'PanOxyl Acne Gel 5'. It works within a week I had beautiful clear skin. There's only one downside and thats your skin drops off!
You can use Clean and Clear for blackheads and put another moisturizer for dryness. It help me. Or you can buy the new product Proactive. To make my pores smaller I use a home remedy using just pure lemon on your face, and letting it set for 5 to 10 mins. then wash and pat dry. By doing this everyday you will have a clear and very soft skin. And your pores will be less visiable. Try it and let me know how it went.
There is no way to permanently make pores smaller, but there are things you can do to minimize their appearance, or close them temporarily. To rid your face of blackheads, you need to open the pores as much as possible first. Steam is the best thing for this, or put a warm washcloth on your face.
Once your pores are opened, use a mild abrasive to scrub out the ones that are near the surface. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub (the original one, not medicated, etc.). This might sting a little -- but it is only temporary.
A Biore strip will get out some of the smaller blackheads. I think they still make rectangular ones for your face, but if not, just spread out once made for the nose on the areas with blackheads.

Everyone says I am really pretty and guys fall for me all the time. But i need something which will stop my spots and blackheads coming out. I only just started getting a few but i am going insane with them. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Avoid using oil based products on your skin, which can attract dirt.
Wash your face with warm water and anti-bacterial soap with a washcloth in the morning and before bed time. Lather and rinse 3x with warm water, then a final rinse with cold water.
Mid-day, use a skin cleanser wipe.
Change your pillow case every 3 days.
As a weekly facial scrub with baking soda, put 1 teaspoon of baking soda into the palm of your hand, add warm water to make a paste, apply to your face, leave on for about three minutes, then rinse. Before and after the scrub, you could make a pot of green tea, and with a wrung-out washcloth soaked in green tea, steam your face before and after the scrub to open the pores. After each facial treatment and wash, use a very cold water rinse to tighten your pores.
